Our Board of Trustees
The Te Kura o Maketu Board meets twice a term. Preparation for these meetings requires trustees to have read reports and be prepared to engage during the board hui.
Wiki Maile
Wiki Maile is serving her third term on the Board and comes with governance experience as Secretary, Board Chairperson, Vice Board Chairperson and convener of subcommittees
Kanaya Reid
Kanaya Reid is our newly appointed member and comes with an ECE background. We welcome Kanaya to Maketu School Board of Trustees
Joanna Wilson
Joanna Wilson was appointed onto the Board in 2024 and decided to run again in this election, previously on the Board at a school with 670 students. Joanna brings experience in this space.
Jayleen Thomas
Jayleen Thomas ran for another term and was successful as Jayleen has more to contribute to the Board and Maketu School
Donna-Marie Walters
Donna-Marie Walters is another member with governance experience afte serving her last term on Maketu Community Board this year. We are grateful that Donna comes with expertise in local goverment setting.
Koha Gourlay
Koha Gourlay is the Asistant Principal and represents the staff as Staff Rep.
